The Lost Cancer Serum - THE STORY OF "ENSOL" 5

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO GUESS WHAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN ACHIEVED HAD THE ACTIVE SUPPORT PROMISED BY GOVERNMENTS AND PEERS BEEN FORTHCOMING AT THAT
TIME.

...the work of the Hendry Connell Research Foundation was neither completely understood nor fully appreciated in Canada...

WHAT DID ENSOL DO?

Dr. Connell was very careful not to use the word cure, he consistently said that ‘early treatment at home by the attending physician in addition to the use of surgery and radiation... ought to reduce the mortality of the disease’. The Clinical Use of Ensol Instruction Sheet even states that, Ensol should be added to surgery and/or radiation. Although this statement accompanied press releases, bulletins and supplied orders to all physicians who wanted Ensol,

it proved to be a stand-alone serum.

Early in 1938, the Ontario government enacted legislation bringing all cancer remedies in the Province of Ontario under control of the Ontario Cancer Commission. In March1939,
the Ontario government assisted the Connell Research Foundatioin furthering its research and stated the
following facts:

• The evidence to date shows that Ensol has been used fairly extensively for more than a period of 3 years.

• Ensol is harmless and that it produces no undesirable immediate or remote effects.

• In at least 65% of cases temporary systemic improvement is noted (this percentage increased as Ensol was refined).

• Local improvement is manifested by lessening of pain and tension and at times by definite shrinkage in the tumor mass.

• Systemic improvement is seen in an increased feeling of well being with improvement of appetite with consequent
cessation of weight
loss or actual gain in
weight.

• Arrested the growth of cancer cells in the human body.

• Produced sensation in the tumour mass .

• Fixed masses became movable.

• Regression and disappearance of tumours.

• Narcotics were reduced in quantity and in some cases discontinued.

• Cachexia disappeared.

By 1964, the time of Dr. Connells death, it is conservatively estimated that tens of thousands of people were treated with Ensol from all over the world. It is regrettable that the work of the Hendry Connell Research Foundation was neither completely understood nor

fully appreciated in Canada by those contemporaries in charge of the development and financing of such endeavours. It is impossible to guess what might have been achieved had the active support promised by governments and peers been forthcoming at that time. The Ensol procedure was not complicated but at the time cancerous tissue for research was not easy to come by.
